Google Adds Windows Mobile Version of Maps App

February 2nd, 2007 · Source · No Comments

Google Maps, which has been around since November 2005, is now available to users of Windows Mobile devices. It supports Windows Mobile 2003 and higher. Maps lets users interact with maps and satellite images, find point-to-point directions and find businesses or other points of interest. Windows Mobile 5.0 phones that are enabled with GPS see some added features from Google Maps, which will automatically show where the user is on the map with a flashing blue dot. The application will use that GPS information to provide relevant local search results. The software is a free download.
