Frontline Challenges Verizon On 700 MHz Auction Suit

October 3rd, 2007 · Source [RCR News] · No Comments

Both Frontline Wireless and the FCC are fighting Verizon Wireless’s lawsuit against the FCC, which asks for changes to be made to the rules for the upcoming 700 MHz auction. In particular, Frontline charges that Verizon’s rush to have the rules changed quickly prevents other interested parties from commenting and contributing to the open comment period. This is unfair to those companies and potentially violates their legal rights regarding the auction. It also asked the FCC to ban Verizon from participating in the auction for breaking the FCC’s lobbying rules.
