FCC Shows First Huawei Handset

June 19th, 2007 · Source · No Comments

Chinese manufacturer Huawei will soon be entering the US market. The FCC today revealed the M318, a bare-bones CDMA 1x clamshell with MetroPCS branding. The phone does not have a camera or Bluetooth. Simple, entry-level phones such as this are often how Asian manufacturers enter the US market. After some time, many have then been able to bring some of their higher-end models to market. Huawei has a large handset portfolio for China and other parts of Asia.
