Bytemobile announced new technology that will allow all mass market handsets to access and view IP-based video services over mobile networks. Called the Unison Media Fidelity Service, it uses dynamic bandwidth shaping to monitor wireless networks and adapt the content so that the users have a smooth experience, no matter what type of network they are using. It works with any type of handset that has a media player and works with all video formats. Bytemobile is making this service available to carriers beginning in October.
