Today AOL announced several new services aimed at mobile users. Among them is a new AIM mobile service that uses short codes to let people send instant messages from their mobile phones even if they don’t have AIM on their handset. AOL also introduced a new software suite for Windows Mobile that bundles several AOL services, such as MapQuest and Moviefone, together. It also bowed a new friend finder service to allow AIM users to share and find their buddies with GPS-enabled phones on MapQuest maps in real time. Lastly, it revamped its WAP portal with integrated search functions.
