Adobe announced today that Flash Lite will add support for video content. Flash Lite already makes animations smoother on mobile phone browsers, but with video support, users will be able to view Flash-based video content, such as the clips posted on YouTube. Being able to view video content on YouTube or any other site using Flash-based video on mobile phones will add to the browsing experience and potentially allow users to watch some video content on their phones without subscribing to carriers’ mobile video plans.
