NTT DoCoMo is installing more anti-spam software to combat the bulk email being sent on its i-mode network. Amazingly enough, the spam that was getting through its old measures was being sent from mobile phones! Those filters relied on users to restrict incoming e-mail by blocking or accepting mail only from designated sources. The new filters will catch “mospammers” and have their DoCoMo services temporarily suspended or completely.
