February 16th, 2008 · Source [Mobile-Review] · No Comments

Hot off the heels of Microsoft trying to acquire Internet giant Yahoo, they have successfully acquired Danger, the maker of the Sidekick line of phones. It is thought the deal is worth in the region of $500 million. Now that all papers are signed and hands shaken, the question is, what will Microsoft do with the Danger OS now?

It seems that Microsoft is looking to foray into the market of cheaper, more consumer-friendly devices for messaging and Internet, which Sidekicks were – all in all, this should prove to be a valuable purchase for Microsoft’s wellbeing in the long run. Of course, at this time, this is pure speculation, as currently, nothing is known in regards to what Microsoft will do with Danger’s OS and experience.
