CTIA 2006 — UTStarcom unveiled its new flagship low-end phone for North America, the CDM7025. The handset has been approved for launch by Sprint and should be OK’d by Verizon Wireless shortly.

Features are light, but that’s the idea:

• 1.5″ 65K color screen
• MP3 ringtones
• Speakerphone

Pricing for the CDM7025 was cited as $80-$99 pre-subsidy. UTStarcom announced a higher-end phone called the CDM7075.
