Cingular has launched the UTStarcom SMT 5600, a Windows smartphone previously carried by AT&T Wireless. MobileTracker noted in March that the SMT 5600 was under evaluation.

Features of the UTStarcom SMT 5600 include:

• Windows Mobile
• Small size, 4.24″ x 1.82″ x 0.69″
• 176 x 220 pixel 65K color TFT display
• Mini SD card slot
• Bluetooth
• VGA camera

The SMT 5600 launched today in select Cingular markets for $199.99 with contract.

Since the launch of the SMT 5600, Audiovox was bought out by UTStarcom.
