Cingular Wireless ended 2004 with a bang–the fourth quarter saw 1.8 million net customer additions. Some notable points of today’s Q4 2004 release:
- More than 49.1 million subscribers (Cingular remains the largest wireless carrier in the US)
- Q4 reported revenues were $7.1 billion
- Solid progress in GSM conversion, with 79 percent of minutes now on Cingular’s GSM network
- Average revenue per user of $49.67, down 5.8% vs. same quarter a year ago
- A loss of $497 for the quarter, accelerated by expenses over the merger
