Firefly Mobile, which announced their kid-friendly Firefly Phone, has recently released their phone through Cingular’s service. This phone is primarily aimed at 8-12 year olds, with interchangable faceplates, animations, and a variety of ringtones to keep one amused, but also an emergency call button, and set buttons to call mommy and daddy. Along with Firefly Mobile, LG, Leapfrog, and Disney have announced that they will be entering the kid’s mobile market.

Cingular is selling the Firefly for $49.99 after rebate with a 2-year service contract.
