Cingular Wireless today announced the company now has more than 50 million US wireless customers. This is growth of over 3 million since October 1st 2004. Though Verizon Wireless is adding new customers at a fast pace, Cingular remains the nation’s largest carrier.

The US has over 180 million subscribers according to the latest data from CTIA.
