Sprint and Google have agreed to work together to provide a set of software services that will work on the WiMAX network that Sprint is launching later this year. In particular, Google will build a portal that includes search functions and social networking tools, as well as its Google Apps suite of productivity and communications applications, such as Google Talk. Sprint is also working with other developers to create a range of services that will work on any browser-equipped WiMAX device, including mobile phones.
