Sprint Faces Off Against Hip MVNOs

February 26th, 2007 · Source · No Comments

Sprint today began offering new calling plans in the San Francisco Bay area designed to take on MVNOs like Helio and Amp’d. Sprint will offer two Unlimited Access plans. The first offers unlimited voice calls, messaging, and on-phone browsing for $120 per month. A second adds unlimited data access on a PC as well, using the phone as a modem for $150 per month. Amp’d offers a plan with unlimited calling, messaging, and browsing for $150 per month, however that does not include PC data access. Helio offers several “all in” calling plans which provide unlimited messaging and browsing, but not unlimited calling. Although Sprint is supposed to offer these unlimited plans in the San Francisco area, they are not yet available on line when entering local zip codes.
