Today at CTIA Wireless in Orlando, Palm announced that it will provide an update for current users of the Treo 750 smartphone. Users will be able to use a software update to upgrade their devices from Windows Mobile 5 to Windows Mobile 6. As part of the upgrade, the HSDPA radios in the 750 will also be activated for AT&T customers in the U.S., boosting the devices wireless data speeds. Palm did not provide any technical details about how the upgrade process will work or what it will cost, but said it will be available later this year.
