LG has introduced a WiMAX-communicator at the current CES 2008 show in Las Vegas. This is a modification of LG KS20 with 4Q networks support. Like the previous model the new communicator is powered by Windows Mobile 6 and has a big 240×320 pixel touchscreen display, which takes almost the entire front panel (the keyboard is lacking). The device is built on Qualcom MSM7200 400 MHz chip and 128 MB RAM.
The new model supports GSM and WiMAX and seamless roaming between them. The company says it will release a version for CDMA and WiMAX networks for the Sprint subscribers. I’d remind you that the operator expects to carry out a commercial launch of 4G network in several US cities during this year.
