Many people use their cell phone as an email device, a watch and more importantly, an alarm clock. The HappyWakeUp phone alarm application targets the S60 platform, waking you up only when you’re in a light sleep cycle. You must be scratching your head and wondering how this software is able to know that - it relies on your handset’s microphone to analyze your sleep habits based on noises you make, and when placed right under your pillow, it will determine the current sleep phase of yours.
It will still go through your normal alarm clock to make sure that you wake up when you want to though, but it is there to help you roll out of bed if you’re in a lighter sleep state before your actual wake up time.
