Samsung Announces 12 Megapixel PhoneToday Samsung announced a new phone touting a 12 megapixel camera. The Pixon12 features a full 3.1-inch AMOLED touch display and advanced camera features such as a dedicated camera power button, touch-based autofocus, fast shutter speeds, instant scene-changing modes, Xenon flash and 28mm wide angle lens. Photos can be sorted by by tags, file names, ratings, and time, and it features tools for uploading to social networking sites. The Pixon12 captures video at 30 frames per second at 720 x 480 pixels. The Pixon12 has quad-band GSM/EDGE, 900/2100 dual-band HSDPA/HSUPA, Wi-Fi, GPS and FM radios on board. It goes on sale in Europe later in June.
