Popular online photo sharing community Flickr has put together an interesting feature to check out the most popular cameras. The data is pulled only from images uploaded to the service that still have the embedded EXIF data, so there are biases (especially with camera phones), but it’s still a fascinating look at digital camera market share. No big surprise that camera phones are very popular. Sony Ericsson and Nokia dominate Flickr’s tech-savvy userbase. As you can see from the graph, both the Nokia N73 and Sony Ericsson K800i have been on a tear as of late. The data is fully searchable by manufacturer.
