It seems there could be a new “race” heating up in the mobile phone industry, and that being of processors. Of course, processors with high clock speeds are nothing new, especially at the Windows Mobile end. Even still, 800 MHz of processing power in a mobile phone is certainly a feat, and if this catches on with other manufacturers, then there culd be a similar outcome to that of squeezing a big number of megapixels into a handset.
ASUS’s latest smartphone, running on Windows Mobile 6.1, is the first mobile phone to sport an 800 MHz processor. Of course, the P565 isn’t just a one-trick pony, as it has a good featre set to bot. Oddly, no official word on pricing, or availability are known as of yet.
