Acer set to intro DX900, a clone of E-Ten Glofiish

February 5th, 2009 · Source [Electronista] · No Comments

Acer DX900Acer may not be unveiling just one new smartphone at the Mobile World Congress in Spain on February 16th or soon thereafter as this photo leak proves. The new Acer handset is a rebranded version of the E-Ten Glofiish DX900 and is the result of Acer’s buyout of the smaller company in 2008.. The two differ only in a few superficial aspects, such as new colors on the exterior.

Feature-wise, the handsets are identical, sporting the same 2.8-inch, 640×480 touchscreen, dual SIM card support, a GPS sensor and Wi-Fi radio. There is also a 3-megapixel camera and the operating system is Windows Mobile 6.1. While no ship dates are known, the Acer DX900 is available for pre-order at the UK’s Clove Technology web-store for the equivalent of approximately $660, including tax.
