Research in Motion today announced it has passed the 2 million subscriber mark for its BlackBerry wireless platform. Back in August the company announced that it expected 2 million by the end of the year. While it took five years to gain the first million subscribers, it took only 10 months for the company to go from 1 million subscribers to 2 million.

The 7100t has helped garner more interest for RIM lately as has the 7270, a WiFi savvy BlackBerry.
