Intel is considering selling off its mobile chips business unit as part of a company wide overhaul. Despite being the leader for PC chips, Intel has had only limited success with chips for mobile devices. Its XScale line is used in a number of smartphones, but those phones only make up a small number of the handsets sold each year.
