Youth-centric MVNO Amp’d Mobile has closed a $150 million C-round of venture capital financing. This brings the total amount invested in Amp’d to over $250 million. Not only is the sum substantial for a mobile virtual network operator, but this C-round is also the one of the largest VC investments of the year.

Investors that were involved in the round include venture arms from both Intel and Qualcomm. Previous big-name investors include MTV and Universal Music Group.

Amp’d Mobile launched earlier this year and is heavily focused on exclusive content.
