A flaw in the iPhone’s software can allow anyone to bypass the password-locking feature of the phone and get access to the phone’s Favorites menu. Once in the Favorites menu, other parts of the iPhone can be accessed, such as Mail, Safari and SMS. This flaw negates the password-lock feature and exposes user data to anyone with knowledge of the method used to get past the password lock. A temporary solution has been discovered. In the iPhone’s Settings menu, click on “General”, then click on “Home Button”, then click on either “Home” or “iPod”. Choosing one of these two options will prevent anyone from accessing the Favorites menu, and keep most user data safe.
