Apple “is conducting high-level discussions with Verizon Wireless to sell a version of the iPhone that would work on Verizon’s network,” according to the New York Times. Talks heated up two weeks ago. The phone could be available next year. It is not clear if the first model would be CDMA or LTE, although sources say a CDMA version has not been ruled out. Company spokespeople declined to comment, but did not deny the talks. AT&T’s exclusivity on the iPhone is rumored to expire next year.

Verizon is becoming expensive now and it doesn’t matter whatever operator Apple select but it would remain costly as compare to VoIP services. Good to see that VoIP applications i.e. Skype, fring and Vopium is still out there to help the users to reach the world for cheap.
