January 16th, 2008 · Source [Engadget] · No Comments

iPhoneToday Apple announced that it will add several new functions to the iPhone with the latest firmware update. The Google Maps application now includes the ability to find your current location and provides the hybrid satellite/map view. The GPS feature will work similar to Google’s MyLocation service for BlackBerry, using geographical information from cell towers to determine approximate location. The iPhone can now also SMS multiple recipients at once. It will also allow you to create multiple homescreens, add web page links directly to the home screen, and rearrange the icons on the home screen.
