Phlash today announced what it’s calling, “The world’s first universal cameraphone flash.” The $29.99 product is a portable LED flash that can either stick onto a handset or be held separately.

The company says Phlash is 12 times brighter than a conventional mobile phone’s flash and its optimal range is one meter. It’s powered off of coin-type batteries that should last through hundreds of cycles.
