Sharp and Nissan Merge Cell Phone with Car KeyToday NTT DoCoMo and technology partners Sharp and Nissan rolled out the first mobile phone that has an integrated Intelligent Key in it. The Intelligent Key can be used to unlock a car, and also to start the engine. Nissan has already built a number of cars that can use the Intelligent Key system. The technology will be on display this year, and the companies involved hope to have commercial distribution starting in 2009.
