January 4th, 2005 · Source · No Comments

Samsung today previewed two phones that will be shown off at Consumer Electronics Show later this week, the Samsung P207 and the Samsung a890. Both phones have text-to-speech technology built-in, a first for mobile phones according to Samsung.

This revolutionary speech-to-text capability, available exclusively on two new Samsung phones, allows consumers to speak into the phone and have the phone convert those words directly into text.

More details on the two phones will be available after CES begins. Samsung has announced that it plans to launch 25-30 new handsets in the US market in 2005, including the two above.
