Verizon Wireless ships KPC650 EV-DO card

April 18th, 2005 · Source · No Comments

Verizon Wireless has started shipping the Kyocera Passport KPC650 BroadbandAccess PC card. Kyocera claims that their card performs 30% faster than the AirCard 580 from Sierra Wireless (Sprint signed up to carry that exact card).

The superior performance of Kyocera’s EV-DO PC card is due to its dual-band receive diversity and a high-performance adjustable antenna plus internal antenna for both 800 MHz cellular and 1900 MHz PCS bands.

BroadbandAccess from Verizon Wireless costs $79.99 for unlimited usage. The new KPC650 card costs $99 after a $100 mail-in rebate.
