UK network O2 has stopped taking pre-orders of Apple’s 3G iPhone, due to be released this coming Friday, in twenty two countries. The company’s website ground to a halt yesterday, as many customers attempted to pre-order the iPhone, some without success. It’s safe to say that O2 underestimated the number of users who wished to pre-order the iPhone, and did the right thing, in order to not disappoint any more customers. Those who didn’t get their pre-order in will just have to go a store and queue up early on Friday Morning.
