Toshiba TG01 passes through FCC with CDMA onboard

July 22nd, 2009 · Source [Electronista] · No Comments

Toshiba TG01The Toshiba TG01 smartphone, notable for its use of a high-powered 1GHz Snapdragon CPU from Qualcomm, has appeared on the FCC website. Unlike the usual FCC listings, the TG01 tested in this case is a production-ready device with support for CDMA networks and not a prototype, indicating it will very soon launch at either Sprint or Verizon, and perhaps eventually on both wireless providers. The touchscreen handset otherwise sports a 4.1-inch display with 800×480 resolution, will run on a customized Windows Mobile 6.1 interface and support 3G data networks. A GPS sensor and Wi-Fi will be built-in.

An exact ship date in North America, as well as pricing, remain a mystery.
