Mobile phones sporting 3G capabilities - face-to-face video calling, and faster download speeds than 2.5G handsets, have been available as early as the start of 2003. Vertu haven’t equipped many of their handsets with 3G, well, there was one - the Ascent Ti, though it had no support for video calling capabilities. Their Signature line of handsets are to be equipped with 3G for the first time. Again, there is no video calling capabilities onboard. Though, of note, the Signature series also come with Wi-Fi connectivity, and a QVGA resolution display, utelising the OLED technology.
