Neonode previewed prototypes of its next generation phones and operating system today. The company showed off a new handset with a much larger 2.9″ touch screen using the same infrared touch-sensitive technology as its current model. Neonode continues to refine its operating system as well. The next generation is easier to navigate and adds a number of features including mail, weather updates and a virtual QWERTY keyboard for typing. Neonode expects to offer its current model, the N2 in the US this year and says the next generation model will work in the US as well on HSPA 3G networks.
