Interest for Apple’s upcoming 3G iPhone has increased four times as much as the original model, for UK operator O2 at least. The number of people who have registered their interest in the device has topped 130,000, up from 35,000 on the now discontinued original iPhone, in a two month span of September through November last year. That was over a span of two months, yet the 3G iPhone gets 130,000 pre-registers in one week, perhaps down to the price-slash, and most-requested features in 3G and GPS. Added to that the increased availability of the 3G iPhone, and the option of buying it without a contract in the UK, making it a viable option for almost any consumer.
